Another hearing will take place today to discuss the governor's education reform plan.
Gov. Dannel Malloy testified before the General Assembly's Education Committee yesterday detailing his plan to improve the state's public schools.
Malloy told lawmakers he wants to increase training for new teachers and pushed for teacher tenure reform.
He says changing the system will help low-performing schools fix their academic problems.
