An elderly woman is dead after a fire ripped through her Norwalk co-op.
The fire broke out Sunday night at the Dreamy Hollow co-ops on Wolfpit Avenue. Firefighters say the victim, Gloria Thorsen, was wheelchair-bound. Neighbors say Thorsen's son, Thomas, tried to save her from the burning home. He is being treated at Bridgeport Hospital's burn unit and is listed in critical condition.
Fire officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
