Tesla founder Elon Musk appeared in court again Tuesday to defend the company's 2016 acquisition of SolarCity. Musk told the court that the acquisition was in order to make Tesla "more than just a car company." He says Tesla's goal is not to just be a car company, but "part of a sustainable energy future." Tesla had purchased the company back in 2016 for $2.6 billion.
Norwegian Cruise Line is filing a lawsuit against the state of Florida over its vaccine passport ban. The cruise line says in the court filing the state's ban hurts its ability to prevent the spread of COVID-19 onboard its ship. Should the ban remain in place, Norwegian may be forced to cancel upcoming cruises, which they say would result in a "devastating, unrecoverable loss." Norwegian's first sailing from Florida is set for August 15.
Panda Express is adding Beyond Meat orange chicken to its menus in select locations. Exclusive restaurants in New York and southern California will offer the vegan option while supplies last starting July 26. The dish will be named "Beyond the Original Orange Chicken," and will pair Beyond's plant-based chicken with Panda Express's signature orange sauce.
