A former Stratford High School math teacher was freed on bond Friday after police say he was accused in the sexual assault of a teen.
Investigators say Gregg Alan Gustafason, 47, was wrestling with a 15-year-old male in the teen's basement back in February. Police say Gustafason strangled the teenager with his coat and then grabbed his crotch.
Gustafason resigned from the school in March. He was charged Wednesday with risk of injury to a child, strangulation and sexual assault.
It's not clear if the alleged victim was a Stratford High School student.
Gustafason was released on a $25,000 bond. He is due back in court in October.
