A local children's choir is getting some attention for its online performance of Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water."

Senior and president Emily Hoffman says the Fairfield County Children's Choir was never going to sit through this pandemic with their mouths shut.

"We have a bond that is so strong and we just could not imagine that breaking because of what's happening right now," said Hoffman.

The group quickly found out that Zoom is great for keeping in touch but not so much for rehearsals because of the delay.

Their performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was recorded piece by piece and edited together.

The song is dedicated to people on the front line and one of the choir's conductors, whose grandmother died.
