Mothers in Fairfield teamed up Friday to give thanks to their local ShopRite employees for their hard work during the pandemic.

Katherine Miles Sullivan, of the Moms of Fairfield Facebook group, organized the gesture to give thanks to all 150 workers.

The group supplied all the supermarket workers with a TD Bank gift card and a sweet treat from Connecticut Cookie Company.

ShopRite management said they were happy to be honored and recognized for their hard work.

Miles Sullivan said the employees’ dedication has helped families get through the pandemic.

“Coming to ShopRite has given us a sense of normalcy, the only place we felt we had a reason to get out,” Miles Sullivan said. She added they deserved the praise and much more. “They just always smile, they help each other out, they hire folks from all walks of life.”
