Fairfield police say they?ve caught a man who may be responsible for several armed jewelry store robberies in southwestern Connecticut.
Fairfield detectives say they arrested 20-year-old Moses McCree after comparing notes with investigators in Stratford, Bridgeport, Greenwich and Orange. They say four area jewelry stores have been robbed in less than six weeks.
Police say McCree, of Bridgeport, was arrested last Friday for a robbery at Fairfield?s Shaw Jewelers in July. They believe he may be connected to several others.
Police say two armed men committed the robberies in question. There is no word on how many more arrests they expect to make.
