Fairfield students raise money for Make-A-Wish by playing sports
Kids in Fairfield spent the day on Friday skating and shooting baskets to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut.
Fairfield Country Day School held the “Skate and Hoop-a-Thon,” where students in kindergarten through fifth grade chose to either skate or shoot baskets. The organizers told News 12 that this event was a great way to teach young people the joy of helping others.
Over the last 12 years, the event has raised more than $120,000.
