Fairfield will hold an online discussion on racism Wednesday.
The event is called Fairfield Faces Racism, and it will take place online from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. tonight.
Fairfield CARES and Fairfield Social Services have teamed up for the event.
It will be presented by Dr. Mara Gottlieb who has worked with Anti-Defamation League, Good Shepherds Services and more.
The event will be moderated by Selectwoman Nancy Lefkowitz.
A
flyer promoting the event says in part, "There is no better time than the present day to understand racism and its toxic effects on all of us, regardless of our skin color. But we cannot confront what we don't know how to discuss, or educate with information we don't have. This honest, informative conversation will get participants started on the path to productively addressing issues of race, racism, and skin color privilege."
