A special graduation in Fairfield today celebrated the two newest members of the town's police department.
The department hosted the ceremony to honor Officer Kevin Wells and Officer Evan Kaesmann and their K-9 partners Jagger and Maverick.
Police say the dogs participated in training to learn a variety of skills, including locating missing persons, detecting drugs, and protecting officers.
The event also recognized the K-9 graduates from the Trumbull and Seymour police departments, as well as the Derby Fire Department.
