A basketball court at Oval Park was dedicated to East Orange's own Grammy-award-winning group Naughty by Nature.
Tickets to see the dedication sold out.
"These were our stomping grounds, everything we did from athletics to hip-hop to football, I mean you name it, and even when we came up as Naughty by Nature," said Vin Rock. "We always threw on barbecue and cooked out and we did a lot of giving back, so that park was kind of beat down and now it's totally renovated so it's like a Renaissance going on in our entire city."
"It will give all of our kids a sense of history, a sense of, you know, people from your hometown has been able to go and do great things around the world. So as well as Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, you know you can add Naughty by Nature to that list. And if the kids can see, smell, touch and feel you in powers, and they say that they can go out and do it themselves," said Vin Rock.
