A fatal Metro-North accident in the Bronx caused massive delays on the New Haven Line during the evening rush hour and beyond Monday.
MTA officials say an unidentified person was trespassing on the tracks and was struck and killed by a Stamford-bound train at the Botanical Garden station, near the New York Botanical Garden around 3:30 p.m.
The fatal incident also caused delays on the Harlem and Hudson lines.
Commuters at the South Norwalk station Monday night said they were frustrated by the delays and said they were displeased with Metro-North's communication regarding the issue.
Officials did not immediately identify the victim.
