Federal judge dismisses lawsuit against Gov. Lamont's decision to close bars, restaurants
A federal judge says Gov. Ned Lamont was within his authority to close bars and restaurants during the pandemic in Connecticut.
The suit was brought by two New Haven restaurant owners who claimed the move was unconstitutional.
The judge cited past court rulings upholding a state's right to take similar steps during a public health and safety emergency.
At least one other federal lawsuit challenging the restrictions is still before the court.
