Milford fire officials say a family is homeless after a fire damaged their home in Milford early this morning.
Firefighters were called to a home on Fourth Avenue just after midnight.
The chief says the fire moved quickly from the kitchen to other parts of the first floor.
Lorraine Luzietti says she is thankful her smoke alarms went off and that her family is safe.
The Red Cross is helping the family that lives there.
Officials believe the fire started in the kitchen, but the cause is still under investigation.
