A building that housed a dance studio and several small businesses in Ridgefield caught fire Saturday morning just after midnight, fire officials say.
Fire officials say the flames were discovered by a Ridgefield police officer patrolling the area.
According to the fire department, the flames severely damaged the second floor of the building, causing it to cave in.
Deputy Fire Marshall Michael Grasso says the scene shows clues that the fire was intentionally set as an act of vandalism.
