Bridgeport firefighters are trying to determine if a Saturday morning blaze was set intentionally.
Firefighters battled heavy flames when two apartment buildings at East Main and Spring streets caught fire. Officials say nobody was living in any of the eight units, but fire marshals had recently kicked out several squatters.
Investigators are now trying to figure out the cause of the fire and are considering the possibility that those squatters started the blaze in retaliation for being forced out.
