Gov. Ned Lamont has directed all U.S. and state flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Burlington firefighter and EMT Colin McFadden.
McFadden was at the scene of the fire at the New Hartford House early Tuesday when he suddenly became ill.
Authorities say he had suffered from a previously undiagnosed medical condition. He died Wednesday morning.
McFadden was one of three firefighters taken to the hospital during the fire.
