The borough's largest business improvement district has launched an app that will make it easier for shoppers to find hot sales.

The Fordham Road Shopping & Events app helps shoppers learn more about the nearly 300 stores that line Fordham Road. It includes coupons, store promotions, discounts and store promotions for business owners.

Fordham Road BID Executive Director Wanda Alonso says shoppers should take advantage of the app. She says more holidays are just around the corner, which means more sales.

Fordham Road is the first BID in the city to launch a mobile app to help make shopping easier.
