Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim is receiving support from a former opponent.

Former mayoral candidate Lamond Daniels said he is endorsing Ganim in the general election Feb. 27.

The upcoming election is a repeat of the election in the fall, which was determined by a judge to be fraudulent via video evidence.

Ganim, who is once again running against John Gomes, thanked Daniels for his support.
