Local officials say they honored former state Rep. Terry Backer in Stratford today.
Officials and Backer's family came to the community farm for the special ceremony where they dedicated the farm's name to Backer.
The community farm in town is now the Terry Backer Community Farm.
Backer passed away late last year after serving the state for many years.
