Tuesday began with Fotis Dulos missing an emergency bond hearing. He was discovered unresponsive at his Farmington home soon after.
News 12 saw defense attorney Kevin Smith walk into the court for the hearing at around 11:30 a.m., but Dulos never arrived. Shortly after noon, court officials said the proceeding was on hold.
If Fotis Dulos had shown up to court Tuesday, there was a chance the judge would have revoked his bond and sent him back to jail. This comes after the South Carolina company that insured Dulos' $6 million bond wanted out, and questioned the collateral Dulos put up to secure it.
Dulos has been on house arrest since posting bond earlier this month on charges of murder, felony murder and kidnapping in his estranged wife's death.
Jennifer Dulos was last seen May 24 dropping of her five kids at school in New Canaan. Fotis Dulos was initially charged with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution as police continued the search for Jennifer Dulos.
Jennifer Dulos' body still hasn't been found, but police declared her dead in early January, and said all evidence pointed to Fotis Dulos and two co-defendants. Michelle Troconis and Kent Mahwinney were both charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Tuesday's hearing came after a judge last week put Fotis Dulos on stricter house arrest and revoked the condition that allowed him to go to approved work meetings.
The prosecution said he violated his released when he stopped at a memorial to Jennifer Dulos and removed items from it.
News 12 has been told by court officials that the bond hearing will happen Wednesday at 2 p.m. without Fotis Dulos in attendance.
