Sue Maraczi says she left four pet cats and three birds at a Milford animal boarding house in September so she could go to the Caribbean to help hurricane relief efforts -- then her 20-year-old bird went missing.
The bird, named Doc, vanished in November. Maraczi says the Snowflake Pet Center is blaming her family and friends for stealing him in an effort to get out of paying for the boarding fees.
"Where is he? Who has him? He didn't just disappear," Maraczi says. "There's no answers. We have no answers whatsoever."
Both sides appear to be headed to court.
Anyone with information on the missing bird is asked to call Milford police.
All of the other animals were returned to Maraczi.
