Fairfield University welcomed its incoming class of freshmen Sunday.
The new students spent the morning and afternoon unpacking, moving in and meeting their roommates. Volunteers were on hand to help students and parents unpack boxes and move carts full of belongings into the dorms.
Students then received their school ID cards from Fairfield University officials. They say the incoming class of 2018 is their largest to date.
School officials say upperclassmen move into their dorms Monday. Classes begin on Tuesday.
