A family in Bridgeport is using community support to help family and friends who were recently impacted by a tropical storm.
The Mann family says Tropical Storm Erika devastated their home of Dominica, a tiny island in the Carribbean.
Officials say flooding caused by the storm killed at least 20 people and left thousands homeless.
The Manns say they have a lot of friends and family who still live on the island and are struggling to survive.
Yesterday, they held a fundraiser at McLeavy Green in Bridgeport.
The family says they lost two friends in the storm and that's what inspired them to help out.
