Family and friends turned out today to say their final goodbyes to a 14-year-old Bridgeport boy killed over the weekend.
Justin Thompson was shot in the head early Sunday morning on Seaview Avenue.
The teenager's funeral was held at the Messiah Baptist Church. Police blocked off several blocks surrounding the church for it.
Bridgeport residents are calling the death senseless and say the violence needs to stop. Members of the group "Connecticut Against Violence" attended the funeral and will host a public meeting on the subject of anti-violence in Bridgeport tomorrow.
