Family and friends said their final goodbyes today to the man killed in a wrong-way crash in Trumbull.
State police say 39-year-old Jimmy Paules died in the crash after he lost control of his SUV on Route 8 last Friday.
Paules was a volunteer at Merton House in Bridgeport -- the same place that helped him kick his own addiction a few years ago.
A case worker there says she finds some comfort in the fact that he wanted to give back to those who helped him.
Authorities say Paules died in a violent, head-on crash on a very busy stretch of the highway. Police say two other people in another vehicle sustained injuries that were not life-threatening in the accident.
State police have not said how he lost control of his car.
