Funeral scheduled for Monday for Wethersfield firefighter killed while fighting brush fire

Calling hours for the 66-year-old firefighter will take place Oct. 27 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Homes in Wethersfield.

Services are scheduled for the Wethersfield firefighter killed while fighting a brush fire earlier this week.

Robert Sharkevich died when he answered the call to stop a brush fire in Berlin.

Calling hours for the 66-year-old firefighter will take place Oct. 27 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Homes in Wethersfield.

His funeral will be held on Monday at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford at 11 a.m. on Oct. 28. A burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill.
