The NYC Parks Department told News 12 a 23-foot-tall Linden tree fell on multiple vehicles - a white Jeep took the brunt of it.
"I can't believe a tree did this to my car. I was in shock... I was shaking," said Chasity Serrano, the owner of the Jeep.
Crews quickly removed the tree Tuesday morning.
A gaping hole now exists on the sidewalk where the tree's roots were.
The hole was barricaded by garbage cans and caution tape.
