One day after being chosen by Gov. David Paterson to fill Hillary Clinton?s vacant U.S. Senate seat, Kirsten Gillibrand traveled to Harlem Saturday for part of her ?Listening Tour.?
Senator-designate Gillibrand (D-New York) appeared with the Rev. Al Sharpton at the National Action Network Community Forum to meet with members of the community and hear their concerns.
During her first public appearance since being named senator, Gillibrand answered questions about a variety of issues ranging from her pro-gun views to the economy.
Gillibrand emphasized that she intends to work with all New Yorkers, while Sharpton pointed out the senator?s eagerness to meet with constituents outside the Albany borders.
