The family of a man who died in a Norwalk house fire is raising money for Bridgeport Hospital's burn unit through a golf tournament.
It's been five years since college student Michael Ness and his friend died in a fire.
Ness' family has coped by organizing a golf tournament every year to raise money for the burn unit at Bridgeport Hospital, where Ness was a patient.
They explain that while Ness may have had more enthusiasm for golf than skill, he loved being on a course with family and friends. So they made the event the sort of easy-going, good time that Ness loved.
The tournament has raised more than $50,000 for the burn unit. Some of the money provides nurses with updated training.
