Gov. Dannel Malloy spoke with News 12 and provided updates on the state's response to this winter storm.
Malloy says the Connecticut Department of Transportation has 634 state trucks and roughly 200 private contractors available for the storm.
Metro North will also be operating on a reduced schedule all the way through tomorrow night.
A blizzard warning is in effect for New Haven County until 1 a.m. Friday.
A winter storm warning is in effect for Northern Fairfield, Northern Litchfield, Northern New Haven, Southern Fairfield and Southern Litchfield counties. A wind chill warning is also in effect for Northern Litchfield County. Coastal flood advisories are in effect for Southern Fairfield and Southern New Haven counties.
All of New Haven County will see 8-14 inches, as well as an eastern portion of Fairfield County. Up to 4-8 inches are expected for the rest of western Connecticut.
