Gov. Kathy Hochul was joined by Metropolitan Transportation Authority leaders and elected officials Thursday to announce the new redevelopment of Penn Station.
The renovation will consist of a single level that will have two main concourses on each side of the station including a 460-foot-high atrium and sky light.
Hochul says the initiative is just a continuation of improving the city.
The next step is choosing an architect and design firm for the new redevelopment of Penn Station.
Firms will have till the end of July to send in their proposal where they will decide by the end of summer on the new layout of Penn Station.
