Gov. Lamont: CT could hit 100K coronavirus cases by end of week

Gov. Ned Lamont predicts Connecticut will hit 100,000 cases by end of this week.

BRIEFING UPDATES:
-86,210 tests were administered and 4,639 came back positive (5.38% positivity over 3 days)
-757 patients are currently hospitalized (increase of 98 over 3 days)
-There have been 22 additional deaths (over 3 days)
-Gov. Ned Lamont says he tested negative Monday. He's in quarantine at his home after his chief spokesman tested positive last week.
-Lamont predicts Connecticut will hit 100,000 cases by end of this week.
-For students coming home before the holidays: 14 day quarantine before or after coming home; do not quarantine with elderly or at-risk family members; get tested before leaving school and after getting home; no parties or reunions.
-600,000 people have activated the new anonymous Covid Alert app.
-Lamont says he and area governors agree that schools aren't behind the spread. He says they will take a look again at indoor dining, gyms and churches if they have to.
