Gov. Dannel Malloy announced his decision to appoint a new leadership team to operate the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Michael Bzdrya, of Wallingford, is now set to serve as commissioner.
Judeen Wrinn, of Middletown, was named deputy commissioner.
The DMV has been plagued by problems following a botched rollout of a new computer system last year.
Officials say several different companies could take over everything from car registrations to driver tests for teens in the future if issues continue.
