Gov. Dannel Malloy announced a $6.5 million plan to help fight youth homelessness.
He says Connecticut is receiving the grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Connecticut is receiving the largest amount to date. All of the funding will go to support groups that work to get youth off the streets.
The state set a goal of ending both youth and family homelessness by 2020.
