Westfield is holding a Green Energy Fair to promote ways to keep roadways more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
The event features live music, food from local restaurants and even a solar car derby for kids.
“Everything has to do with alternative transportation and alternative energy. We've got EV dealers here who are showing off the latest models, local EV owners who can answer questions…and E-Bikes as well,” said sponsor Anne Pacchia.
Westfield Councilman David Contract hopes the event helps people understand the importance of environmentalism.
“We really want people to realize it's easy to be greener and protect the environment. And frankly you can save money,” he said.
In addition to cars and bikes, the fair also features environmentally-friendly lawn tools.
The fair on the south side of the Westfield train station ends at 4 p.m.
