The town of Greenwich is celebrating its newly promoted firefighters.
A promotional ceremony was held at Greenwich Fire Headquarters, where four firefighters were promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
Friends and family were on hand to watch the new lieutenants be sworn in by the first selectman.
First Selectman Peter Tesei said, "There's no greater service that a municipality provides than life-saving services and seeing the families of these men who have committed their lives to being first responders demonstrate that it’s a family commitment in support and that's something we're very grateful for and pleased to see today."
The new lieutenants will serve on the Central Station's Tower Ladder, which is used to rescue people from higher story buildings in town.
