The Greenwich Emergency Management Team held a helicopter landing drill today to practice emergency plans in the event of a medical emergency.

Greenwich police, fire, emergency and medical service took part in the drill at Havameyer Baseball Field.

The field was closed while officials used the area to land the helicopter. After a successful landing, the field was reopened to the public.

The drill was performed to review and practice emergency plans in case a medical helicopter is needed to transfer a patient in critical care rapidly to another area hospital.
