The Greenwich Police Department added two new members to the force Monday.
Michael Hall and Michael O'Connor Jr. were sworn in at a ceremony at Town Hall. Both new officers were accompanied by their families, friends and now fellow officers.
Hall and O'Connor say they are very excited to start their new jobs at the police department.
Hall's sister, a police officer in New York, handed him his new badge, while O'Connor was handed his badge by his father, who has been a police officer in Greenwich for almost 30 years.
Both officers say despite tensions nationally between the police and the public, they are looking forward to working with and serving the public.
The officers will leave Friday for the police academy for six months, then they will have another three months of field training before they can begin their positions.
