Greenwich residents cleaned up debris Tuesday after Monday night's powerful lightning storm.
Field Point Road was one of the roads hit hard, knocking down trees and power lines. A tree also knocked over a gas tank near the train tracks, which leaked about 1,500 gallons of liquid propane.
The damage and lack of power caused town hall to close for the day.
A representative from Greenwich Hospital says a downed tree on the roadway blocked the emergency room entrance and they had to divert people to the front entrance instead.
