A New York man has been arrested after allegedly trying to make a drug deal in Westport.
Police say they arrested Gregory Gottman, 39, on Sunday night after getting a tip that he was going to be in the area to meet an acquaintance for a drug deal.
When they pulled him over and searched his car just before 6 p.m., they allegedly found 4 pounds of liquid Ecstasy, Ecstasy pills and other narcotics. Police say the drugs were worth more than $70,000 in total.
A judge set a $150,000 bond for Gottman. He is due back in court June 23.
