A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Pacific House's newest affordable housing site on Stillwater Avenue.
Pacific House teamed up with the city of Stamford and various non-profits to develop this project.
Organizers say their overall goal is to get people out of emergency shelters and into permanent housing.
Pacific House executive director Rafael Pagan said, “This is one of six properties that we've developed in Stamford, and they've all been focused on people that are homeless. Both those that might have disabilities, folks that are underemployed or dealing with other challenges like mental illness or substance abuse. Our primary focus and mission has been to eliminate chronic homelessness."
