Several labor, religious and environmental groups will meet today to discuss a proposed rate increase by Connecticut Light & Power.
They are urging state regulators to deny the request for a higher rate.
CL&P wants to increase a monthly charge from $16 to $25.50.
The organizations opposed say the increase would hurt low-income customers.
