A man from Hamden faces larceny charges after police say he admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from his employer.
Monroe police say 47-year-old David Fitch confessed to pocketing between $7,000 and $8,000 over the course of a year.
They say he took the money from the register at Maltose Express, a home brewing and wine making supply store.
Police say a customer told the store owners they saw Fitch take cash during a transaction.
Fitch is due in court Friday.
