Officials at Housatonic Community College say a security breach may have leaked confidential records of faculty, staff and students.
School administrators say they discovered the breach on March 28 after an overnight scan revealed two school computers, located at the registrar and admissions office, opened an email attachment that turned out to be a virus. Officials say 87,000 files could have been exposed.
School officials say they will provide identity theft protection to anyone whose personal information may have been compromised.
