Dr. Dana Wade is the founder and CEO of Monitor My Health, which is based in Bridgeport.
He says he encourages others to enjoy the holidays but be careful not to over-indulge on all the rich holiday food.
Monitor my Health is holding a free testing in Bridgeport on Saturday, Dec. 11 to check for pre-diabetes.
Wade told News 12 that millions of Americans could be pre-diabetic and not even know it.
"Be part of those who know it because if you know it, you can do something about it. And there is a help for you, so let's be thankful for all the opportunity for this research-based, evidence-based, CDC-recognized diabetes prevention program and this free test," said Wade.
