A heat advisory is in effect for parts of Connecticut into this evening with possible thunderstorms popping up across the state.
The National Weather Service issued the heat advisory through 8 p.m. for northern Fairfield and northern New Haven counties.
Tonight there could be a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 a.m. Thursday.
