Thursday will feel warm with a chance for drenching downpours and possible flooding from melting ice and snow.
The region is seeing a warmup compared to below freezing temperatures earlier this week that was left behind a coating of snow and ice.
Officials say the snow, ice and added rain could cause flooding in some neighborhoods. Towns like Trumbull and Monroe which received more snow and ice are vulnerable to flooding in some areas, officials say.
Experts recommend clearing storm drains near your home of debris like twigs and leaves so that water can flow properly.
News 12 meteorologists say rain will become potentially heavy at times Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m..  A total of 1.25 to 2.50 inches of rainfall with locally higher amounts could occur.
