Many holiday travelers got a head start on their trips ahead of Wednesday's forecast for snow.
The owner of Currie's Tire in Norwalk says business was nonstop over the past few days as people came in to get snow tires put on their cars. Currie's Tire also recommends drivers check the antifreeze and windshield wiper fluid levels in their cars.
Rest stops on I-95 were also packed with cars Tuesday, with many drivers saying they wanted to beat the crowds and the snow.
As much as 6 inches of snow is expected in southwestern Connecticut Wednesday, with more snow predicted for north of the Merritt Parkway.
