Community members in Westport rallied Sunday morning to fight heart disease.
About 500 people participated in the annual American Heart Association Heart Walk in Westport. Two heart attack survivors from Stamford were honored at the event.
"Our theme this year is 'Get One Done'," said Judy Campisi, of the American Heart Association. "Within the next six to 12 months, we're hoping that heart disease is no longer the number one killer of Fairfield County residents."
Organizers believe they raised $350,000 from the event, which will benefit research from the American Heart Association.
